Drive to California

One would expect driving from Minnesota to California in the middle of winter can get interesting, but this drive of more than two thousand miles certainly beat my expectations. The weather and roads were very benign through Iowa and Nebraska. It started snowing shortly after we entered Wyoming and it snowed or rained through much of the rest of the way to Palo Alto. The Sierra received upward from six feet of snow over those few days. Our night time crossing was documented by Radka - I was too busy holding onto the wheel.
